Klein COATINGS and TREATMENTS
We manufacture our tank products using carbon steel or stainless steel.
- Carbon Steel: Carbon steel tank interiors are typically coated with a rust resistant treatment. We offer two types of interior coating.
- Stainless Steel: Stainless Steel fabricated tanks require no interior coating and are generally non-corrosive and provides best service when corrosion is a concern.
Klein KPC:
Klein Protective Coating (KPC II), Part Number 47087302, is a ZERO VOC/HAPS free two component Direct to Metal Epoxy coating. KPC II provides good corrosion protection to steel and non-ferrous metal surfaces in transportation and industrial environments. This coating has excellent adhesion and provides a durable finish coat and anti-corrosion protection in a single product application. It can be applied over steel prepared by solvent cleaning removing any foreign contaminates such as grease, oil, dirt, mill scale, rust, etc.
This product will increase the amount of steel protection on the inside of Klein water discharge tank systems compared to tanks without coating. It can be applied over new or old steel as long as the steel is free of dirt, scale, slag, grease, oil or any other “loose” material. On new and old metal, it adds protection against damaging rust and corrosion for virtually all metal surfaces. KPC II can be used for both immersion and above the waterline service.
KleinFLEX:
KleinFLEX Elastomeric Polyurethane, Part Number 47075245, is a 100% solid; spray applied, aromatic polyurethane coating and lining system. It is high build and remains flexible. It is designed for aggressive immersion and containment applications.
This product will increase the amount of steel protection on the inside of Klein steel water discharge tank systems compared to tanks without coating. The high build, flexible qualities of this coating allow it to apply in imperfect areas with a complete, consistent flexible coating. Weld seams, edges, corners, and other hard to reach areas can be coated and protected with this product. Its flexibility allows the coating to expand and contract with each water intake/ discharge cycle without cracking, peeling or tearing. KleinFLEX is a premium interior coating and most effective available in industry today for water immersion.
